If a new map for your device is available within 30 days of first use, you can download that map once for free via TomTom HOME, please note you are only entitled to one free map download. Due to the continuous improvements in our map quality, some new maps may not fit on your device. In these cases, detailed Map Zones are offered for download. Designed to be more "Glove Friendly" the screen is just as responsive to your touch with your gloves on as it is without so you can change your route without risking frostbite on your fingers. Which is good news considering the usual weather we face in the UK. Your TomTom RIDER is also designed to be as rugged and waterproof as you need it to be, and on the flipside you can keep the sun off your screen for the optimum view with the anti-glare screen and built-in sun visor. Having passed TÜV safety, quality and durability tests to a level far beyond Euro normal CE standard you can rely on the TomTom Rider, whatever the weather.

Mount up with RAM

Lets be honest, a lot of roads in the UK are pretty bad for riding so you're going to need a device mount that is robust enough to handle the toughest of biking conditions. The TomTom Urban Rider mount is built to do just that. Designed and made by world-leading mount supplier RAM, the Urban Rider mount's base consists of a 1" diameter rubber ball and hardware for mounting to both brake/clutch reservoirs and rails. The mounting hardware for brake/clutch reservoirs include both standard and metric mounting bolts. Multiple pivot points, rubber ball and socket technology allows for almost infinite adjustment and perfect viewing angles. High quality materials ensure your device is safe, secure, and within easy reach.

Hearing instructions can be pretty difficult over a 1000cc engine but the TomTom Urban Rider uses speed-linked volume technology to make sure you won’t miss a thing. The Urban Rider is designed to adjust its volume as you adjust your speed meaning no matter how hard you push it you'll always get your instructions loud and clear.

The TomTom XL IQ Routes features TomTom’s unique IQ Routes technology for efficient route calculation. Based on historical travel time information for every road, specified for every day of the week, at five minute intervals, rather than the traditional static measure of maximum speed per road type, the TomTom XL IQ Routes provides a more accurate measure of journey time. By calculating routes based in this manner, your TomTom can select the optimal route, saving significant time and lowering fuel costs.
