02 XDA 2i

Hi, I am having problems trying to record with my XDA 2i, it says to try a lower compression program such as "Mobile Voice", any clues as to why this is not working with the already installed software? and where I would get "Mobile Voice" if necessary?

Also, can anyone tell me if it is possible to be notified on this XDA by using my own voice reminders?
