Default Navigator 3 and O2 XDA II

Does anyone have any tales relating to this configuration?

I currently run TT3 and have a company provided Nokia 6310i. My employer has offered to let me have an XDA II instead of the nokia. Clearly I should be able to install my TT3 onto there. So.....

1. Does the tomtom bluetooth GPS work effectively with the XDA II?

2. How well does it handle call interruptions etc.

3. Are there any known bugs, glitches or just plain annoyances which I should be aware of specific to this particular configuration?

Any help would be appreciated.

TomTom will work fine with the XDAII. Can't comment on receiving calls as I've never done it but we've sold lots of this combo.

Wow.......what can I say!

Received the unit from o2 yesterday and my faith in PDA's is restored!

Gone are the configuration problems with my 2210 for email, wireless, bluetooth, tomtom et al. The email, MMS, and net browsing come ready configured and work like a dream!

Just waiting for my company to set up my business email access and Its all done!. Even Tomtom bluetooth worked straight from basic install.

Beats the 2210 hands down !

I've got a XDA2 (QTEK 2020) running TT3 using Bluetooth Tomtom Reciever and it works great!

If you are looking for a mount to install it into your car, I would recommend the Carcomm kit. Its the only one available which allows you to drop it into the cradle and automatically charge it without inserting cables into the bottom of it!

The leads that come with the kit are very long, but I have modified them and connected them straight to the fuse box (using the supplied fuse!)

Works great!

Rich.

Can you tell us if you have had any problems receiving calls when navigating dickys3?

Im just waiting for the 'Official O2 car kit' even though there isn't one allegedly.....so it will be interesting to see whats in the box. Didn't have any choice-company's paying for it!

As far as Tomtom goes it works seamlessly with the phone system as ive been receiving calls whilst in Tomtom back and forth on the M40 today (using the temporary hands free kit in the case of course!). Only problem ive witnessed so far is the GPRS signal dropping on a call and then automatically not coming back on afterwards. Maybe I just need to play around with the settings a little bit more.....

Ah, Opened the parcel and it was a lump of plastic-no more! (Arkon mount)

Had a look on the TPDA website but the carcomm is out of stock. Is there a suitable alternative before i have to go elsewhere?
