XDA 11s windows media player problem

Hi! After a year I've decided to use my XDA to play MP3 files. I've got the files onto the phone fine, and Windows Media Player (9.0.1) seems to be playing them fine, I just can't hear them! I think there must be some conflict somewhere, because if I test a ring tone, for example, I can hear the track paying in the headphones while the ringtone plays. The help files have not helped, and I can't track anything down on the settings. I hope someone here may be able to help the Zutons surface!!!!

media player can sometime seperate it's volume control from the phones (these should be sync'd).

Try decreasing, then re-increasing the volume in MP using the stylus.
