Default frustrating xda2s and tomtom 6

hi all new here nice forum
ive got a problem with me o2 xda 2s ,ive just bought a o2 blue headset and it paired and worked fine untill i soft reset it then the phone will see the headset and is still paired but wont connect to it (you can see it talking to it) so i had to do a hard reset and also flashed the phone to the latest one.tried again it worked fine even after a soft reset ,untill i installed tomtom6 back on it then it works fine with tomtom untill you have to soft reset it then it dose the same again but tom tom works fine
so i tried other headsets and other gps to no avail the same happens also ive installed the headset before after and every way i could possibly think.
what i did finally discover is after a hardreset then pairing the headset so it works fine even after a soft reset then installing tomtom but not the gps or even touching any settings in tomtom(not even ran it) just a virgin install then soft reset it happends again so tom tom is doing something to the headsets connection and blocking it for some reason.
has any one got ant clues would love to solve this problem so as to use it out on the road as supposed to
any help appreciated
moggie007

in a couple of days i will try tomtom 5 in a hope that works doubt it though

Hello. TTN 6 thinks its being helpful and it replaces a certain file in the PPC windows. This then prevents BT headset working. I have done the following fix and now have all working again. In Windows look for a item named "BTCoreIf". Re-name this to "BTCoreIfold". You won't be deleting anything, so you will end up with both of these items in windows so dont worry. When I did this on my XDA 2s, I can now use a BT headset and operate a BT GPS reciever. Please let me know if this works.

but when i go through file explorer on the phone it don't see dlls so i cant rename it .is there another programme you use to see and edit these files or maybe a setting in the phone to allow all files to be shown thanks again

Hello, yes I am using Resco Explorer to look inside my windows folder on the XDA. I've tried the standard explorer and you are right, the BTcoreIf can't be seen. There may be a better file explorer available on www.freewareppc.com if you don't want to get Resco. By the way, I would seriously look at Resco File Explorer as there are a number of tweaks you can also do if you can see all the files. Please let me know how you get on.

hi again searching the web found this and it works
1. download WinCE CAB Manager 2.0.0.13 from here http://downloads.cnet.co.uk/0,39100207,39183699s,00.htm. 15 free use trail but you'll only need to use it once
2. make a backup of the tomtom 6 cab file just in case
3. then open the tomtom 6 cab file in the CAB Manager
4. on the left side panel click on files which displays the files in the cab and the install path of the file etc.
5. then delete from the list ttn6bt2003.dll, BtCoreIf.dll, BtSdkCE30.dll (these are the files i deleted from the cab and seems to work fine, not sure what the heck each does lol)
6. click save and upload the new cab file with the omitted files to you xda and install as per normal.
thanks for your help again i will get resco explorer
much appreciated (top man)
