Bluetooth headset on XDA Orbit

I have recently upgraded from an XDA IIs to an XDA Orbit, and have been very impressed with my new acquisition.
I have one niggle. When I used a bluetooth headset (for hands free) on the XDA IIs, a picture of a headset was shown on the status bar at the top of the screen to indicate that the headset was switched on and connected. On the XDA Orbit there is no such picture, and I cannot determine easily whether the headset is operational. Is there a setting I have missed?

Hi Clive,

When you make a call by selecting the 'Phone' application, or by clicking the green button, you will see a small icon of a headset (in black) at the right of the screen.

p.s: By switching on the bluetooth on the phone first, then the headset is the best way of ensuring they find and pair quickly.
