XAIOX gps receiver cable I have bought a xaiox gps receiver through e-bay from taiwan (OK a bit stupid)
It does not work. Here is the story.
My pda is connected through an interface box in the car to allow connection of other equipment to it. Power is fed through the interface to the pda and to the existing gps receiver via a ps2 port. This setup works OK but the receiver is not very sensitive.
The xaiox came with a female ps2 connector and an adaptor cable which has two ps2 plugs and a serial plug.
The instruction appear to show that the serial plug is used for data and the ps2 for power.
When I plug it in it does not even light up. I have tried just the ps2 plug, just the serial plug and both together, no luck not even a light.
If I plug it into the ps2 port on my PC it lights up, but that is as far as I can go as I have no gps software on the pc to test it with.
Has anyone else come across this problem and found an answer to it?
