Hey mate, sounds like your LCD has givin up the ghost... I have seen this a lot and its almost always the LCD it might have been caused by a drop or other physical shock, or might just be caused by a manufacturing fault... either way if your unit is still under warranty, send it back to Dell (without mentioning any PHYSICAL damage, if there was any) and they will repair your unit!!
