The the basic Mitac Mio 168 has all the software it requires "hardwired" into it. That is Windows mobile 2003 and a mini "Office" suite of programs. Some of the "bundles" it comes with include nav packages but if that is missing and If you want to use its GPS functions you will need to buy a 3rd party Navigation package such as TomTom
