Does you Axim X5 have built in wireless capabilities? If it has then when you turn the wireless on it should detect your wireless router in your house. You'll need to input the wireless settings that you'd have put in on your laptop to get connected the same as on your X5 - ie your WEP key, IP address unless it's given via DHCP etc.
Once those settings are in you should find that your X5 is connected.
