The compatibility issue concerns the difference in windows versions and the tom tom patch makes the programme windows mobile 5 compatible.

the Mio 201 is a pda, not 'my tom Tom' and as nobody was even aware there was a problem until the 13th december i doubt your offered solution would work
I am sorry for not knowning that you bought tomtom on CD not the SD card, however, under the TomTom section of www.Totalpda.co.uk forum you can see i have wrote up a sticky post on ways to install once you have the files on the memory card.
