Default Transferring TomTom5 from one PDA to another

Hi all, hope you can help a newbie with a query.

I have an O2 XDAIIi, which runs TomTom Navigator 5. It was originally supplied with Navigator 3 and the TomTom Bluetooth GPS Receiver as a bundle, but I upgraded to Navigator 5 during 2005.

My 12-month contract is up soon, and I hope to upgrade to the new O2 XDA Exec. Here's my question: How can I (legally) transfer my TomTom software etc from my old PDA to my new one, without incurring the wrath of the TomTom company?

A bit of background information, I think....
While I was still running Navigator 3, I dropped my PDA and broke the screen. A new one was provided by my insurance company, but when I tried to reinstall Navigator 3, TomTom wouldn't issue new release codes because according to their terms & conditions their software can only be installed one one PDA and cannot be transferred. Ever. It's their way of preventing illegal copies, but it's no godd for legitimate cases like mine. Ultimately I ended up upgrading to Navigator 5 (which I was going to do anyway).

So can I transfer my TomTom or not? And if so, how can I do it?

Thanks in advance for your help.
