I use Eudora, which is free, via the IR port on my phone to get basic access on my T|E, its a bit slow and you loose the graphics but it works.
For a T|E2 you can get a wifi card from Palm that should do the job for you. It comes bundled with the software you need. I'm sure there are other options but I know of this one.
Once you have that setup then you need to identify a wireless internet connection. If you have broadband at home go for a wireless router and your away. Alternatively use one of the domestic providers and get an account going with them.
