Thanks for the advice, I just had a look at the ad and it sounds nice enough... but I thought tomtom was also available on palm!?!
By the way the only difference between the NX70-V is it has slightly more functions (apparently).
WHen I looked at the add for the suggestion GPS I saw this bit:
NAVIGATION FUNCTION
With a GPS antenna*, the route is calculated and then re-adjusted in real-time as you go along, with the map turning depending on the direction you are moving in. All the necessary information concerning the route is available (distance remaining, next exit to take, etc.) and the voice directions will guide you clearly and efficiently, transforming your Palm into a genuine on-board navigation system.
* This function requires a NMEA 2.0 compatible GPS module, based on datum WGS84.
Particularly the bit with the * as this is different from the one supplied in the kit.........does this matter, or would I have to immediately upgrade the reciever!!! (I know..I'm thick, but such is the life of a newbie

)
