I've used Lifeview Presenter (
http://www.totalpda.co.uk/LifeView-FlyPresenter-CF.aspx) which does a good job. I'd recommend a PocketPC system for compatibilty and support reasons. You can get the files on the PDA very easily using Activesync or memory cards. I haven't heard of the DELL with a VGA out. I know the new models will have VGA screen resolutions.
