Default Cannot delete file

I have a file that I want to delete, which doesn't appear on the Desktop when I Sync, but is still in my Axim X3 because I can access it. If I go into Explore on the Desktop and examine the files, I can see it, but can't delete it, I keep getting the message:

Cannot delete file: there has been a sharing violation
The server or destination file may be in use.

I am not using the file, and I want to get rid of it - How? I've tried "Moving it" and "Renaming" it, as well as "Deleting" it, but no joy - Help! I've deleted it on the desktop, and set Synchronise to favour the "desktop", but no luck there either.

It's an Pocket Autoroute map of where I went yesterday, it says it's an mpeg media file - nothing wierd, the map is still accessible, but I don't need it anymore as I now know the way, and it's 5.2Mb.

Are you able to delete it with File Explorer on the DELL?

Try a soft reset and then try deleting the file again. I have had the same problem before when trying to delete a file only to find out the the original program which was using the file was still running in the background.
