Dell x3 Slows down

When i connect my dell x3 to my holux cr100cradle
my pda slows down considerably with no sat nav program started its only when i have the gps powered
it takes 2 t 3 mins for my contact list to open

any ideas

IS the DELL OK when in the DELL cradle or connected to another charger or sync lead?

Yes everthing OK works fine , at the moment i have no gps software installed
The holux cradle bought as a present & i just thought i would connect it UP the gps light flashes so i asume it has i fix

Not sure what could be causing it but wait and see what happens when you install some GPS software.
