Default Best set up for Tom Tom GPS on PDA

I have just bought myself a Dell X51V PDA and am looking to get Tom Tom to go with it. Am I best getting Tom Tom and their bluetooth GPS reciever or is it better to get a GPS reciever to go in the CF slot on the PDA.

However if I do this I will need to keep swapping out the CF card I intend to buy to give me more storage - this is all on the assumption that my SD slot will be tied up with the preinstalled Tom Tom maps etc.

Can anyone help me - or give a PDA virgin some advice!!

Ed

I loaded Tom Tom 5 with its own Bluetooth GPS MkII at the weekend. I was concerned about compatibility but it wasn't an issue, it just worked straight out of the box. If you use Tom Tom's own GPS receiver it sets itself up and even switches Bluetooth on for you when you start the software. The receiver itself switches off after 10 minute's inactivity which can be irritating but the units amazing sensitivity makes up for that. Just chuck it in the glovebox and forget it.

The SD card is 128Mb and it's full. I was able to add one extra voice from another source but that was it. You may be able to load all you need into the X51v's large ROM if you want to keep the sd slot free, I don't know. There's no write protection on the card however so a back up is essential.

I'd say bluetooth is the way to go. You keep you CF slot free for a start.
