Default 2.0GB CF Problems on my Axim 5

I recently purchased a SanDisk 2.0GB Compact Flash for my Axim 5. I already am using a SanDisk 1.0GB SD card.

I synced about 30 songs through the cradle onto the CF card. While playing back the songs, I am experiencing a series of malfunctions such as:
  1. Songs only playing 15 seconds and the audio drops off but yet the counter is showing that the songs file is running
  2. Songs will play for 30 seconds and then switvh over to another song
This is the second card I am using. Isent the original one back to the company because I thought that the CF was faulty, but now I suspect that it is the PDA that is at fault.

The songs that I have on the 1.0GB SD plays back without any problems. It's only when I play back the songs loaded on the 2.0GB CF card.

Is there anyone experiencing the same? How did you resolve the problem.

Thanks,

Sig

Welcome to our forums.
I've not experienced this but i would guess that the PDA is just not happy with that amount of storage rather than being faulty.

The X5 (have one myself) has a 1gb limit on SD and CF cards.

Either they won't work at all, or some will for a short time but then stop again as they overload the system.
