Street Pilot III Vs. PDA

I have had a Street Pilot III for a number of years with MapSource Europe etc
I am now considering buying a PDA or a PDA/GPS bundle. The question is can I use the MapSourse with the GPS enabled PDA in conjuction with other systems such as TomTom or Navigator?
