Unhappy IPAQ Help

Can anyone please help?

My old IPAQ 4700 has collapsed on me and since it is a vital tool for me in business, yesterday I purchased a shiny new IPAQ 2400.

Since all my diary movements and contact details over several years is backed up on my SD card I was advised by some muppet in PC world it would recover with no issues.

I have since discovered that the my old machine running on Mobile 2003 software which had a backup and restore is not supported in the new MS V5.0

Any ideas how I can get the file (.PBF file) off the SD card and restored on my new IPAQ?

I am in serious trouble with planned meetings so any help would be appreciated.

Roy

The only way I see to recover this data is via an intermediary PC, above all else don't plug it into something that is going to write over the data, like a newer PDA - duh, you can pick up a Media Card reader for a pc real cheap, possibly a USB one or just use the old USB cable from the 4700 if its still accessible. I truthfully don't know how to recover data from a .pbf file, but a PC is a much more powerful tool and there are literally hundreds of recovery programs that won't write anything to the SD card.

O and people who work at PC world usually keep one hand free at all times.

Are your planned appointments not synced with outlook on your PC?
