Red face Getting bored waiting for"Waiting for GPS" to disappear

Hi all,

Hopefully someone can help me! We just purchased two IPAQ 2210, two carcomm cradles, two carcomm gps receivers and two copies of Navman SMART ST V2 Europe. We installed the navman software no worries and uploaded the UK maps to our PDA but when we plug either ipaq's into either cradle with the GPS receiver attached we just get Waiting for GPS message. I have tried to find info on the web in terms of the GPS settings needed but to no avail.

We thought maybe it was to do with the windscreen so we put the receiver on the roof of the car and left it for about 10 mins but still no joy. I cant get tech support from either www.totalpda.co.uk, carcomm or navman!!! Everyone seems to blame the others kit!!

Does anyone have any idea?

Thanks

I had to get a replacement Navman sleeve when this happened to me last year. When I got a new sleeve same thing happened... and then it started working after a while... strange I know. You tried soft-reset? Try making sure no other programs open?

Can you check gps status with your ipaq? With my ipaq it allows me to check strength of signal... pressing the large oval button (you know the one with North, East, South and West arrows?) allows me to check my gps status / strength with Smart ST....
