Default HTC Touch HD

Hi i recently purchased the route 66 uk & ireland software, and all installed fine.
Thing is my phone keeps using gprs connection i thought it would just work off the inbuilt gps???
and if it needs this connection how much will it cost when i use my sat nav?
Im on orange by the way

You will need to change the settings on the handset and the GPS settings in routte 66 to tell it to use the internal GPS.

You'd best check with orange on the data charges they have different bundles.

i've turned off the AGPS and it seems to have stopped contacting the server through gprs does that sound right?

Thats correct assisted GPS will use your network to work out a position.

I haven't used the route 66 program you have but there should be a GPS settings or preferences menu where you tell R66 what receiver and com part you are using.

If you look the GPS settings on the PDA that should tell which com port is being used for the GPS data.

Start --> settings --> GPS

With GPS i dont get charged do i?
