Post Newbie Question....

Hi all,

I am another potential Sat Nav purchaser and have an iPAQ 3870 (Bluetooth enabled) and am looking to purchase a GPS system to go with it.

Can anyone share their comments and experiences of the following three and which one if any is the best option?

TomTom Navigator 3
NavMan 4410
CoPilot5

Also can anyone advise on a good cradle (can't be permanent fit as going into leased car).

I travel the UK extensively for work and need accurate maps down to side roads, having tried a colleagues TTN3, local roads were not on the maps (Caldeford Avenue, Solihull) and neither was Leamington Spa?! He assure me that he had loaded all the maps for the UK correctly - can anyone advise if these 2 are on the software maps? Major roads of Europe would be adequate for my use...

I have a budget of approx £250 to spend (any recommended sites to purchase from?)

Many thanks
Paul

firstly, i have TTN3, typed in your address u gave, and it is there. if you want a system i would reccomend TTN3, mainly due to the add on third party software that supports it, ie checkpoint, UKpostcode etc.

Hello. On the same subject I want to use a XAiOX WONDE-X BLUETOOTH Gps device with my Ipaq 3870.
I am looking for gps software which I could use with the above combination. The XAiOX WONDE-X BLUETOOTH manufacturers suggest Tom Tom but the reviews of both Tom Tom & Navmav suggest that not all is perfect with them.I have read several reviews and was thinking of Destinator 3.It got a good review but I am not sure if it would be the best choice.Any idea's would be helpful.I live in Ireland but most of the map software seems to be a little short of detail when it comes to Ireland.

Try easydevices.co.uk for a mount. There is a dedicated expansion pack for the 3870 that uses Navman and is also screen mounted.
