Unhappy Repairing TomTom Ipaq Receiver

Can anyone please tell me the pinout for the RJ45 connector that connects the receiver?

As I got out of the car earlier today I tripped over the loose lead and ripped it from the plug in the cradle.

Welcome to our forums.

Looking at the RJ11 plug from the front with the tab on top it is,
black, orange, brown, red which should be :
GND, TX, RX, + (or the TX & RX are the other way around)

Charlie,

Thanks for your help but it ain't sorted.

I followed your advice; ground, orange, brown, red in the plug left to right as you look at the plug from the front with the tab on top. (Looking along the lead with the tab on top you see the red, brown, orange, ground entering the plug from left to right).

Not a sausage - no signal received, no light on the receiver, nothing.

Can you please suggest anything else.

Did you try switching the orange and brown? Maybe it's caused more damage than what you can see
