Default Aerial for Tomtom GPS Bluetooth reciever

Is there such a thing?

On the back of my reciever it looks like you may be able to plug in an aerial for improving signal? What I was wondering was could I install my reciever in the glovebox or another compartment and have the aerial routed through the dashboard so only the aerial is visiable?

Is this possible or have I gone mad!

Thanks
Rich.

May sound daft, but have you checked it wont still receive the signal in the glove box without it?

I have the T3 and bluetooth TomTom version and I leave the tomtom gps in a cubbyhole under the dash (like a coin holder place below and right to the steering wheel ) and it works fine. There's a good foot of dash between it and the top of the dash....

Perhaps?

Hi,

I was in contact with TomTom today regarding external antenna for the TomTom Bluetooth GPS. Here is the answer I got from them:

-->
Thankyou for your question regarding the external antenna for your TomTom Navigator 3, unfortunately at the moment this product isnot available but we do update consistantly update our products so please keep an eye on our website where this item could possibly be available in the coming months.
<--

I tried to have the GPS in the glovebox but the signal strength decreased with about 20% so I was not satisfied with this. I am waiting very much on the external antenna.
