Question OS reference

Hi,
I am interested in TOM TOM navigator 3 but I also require OS references. Are there any stand alone units or PDAs available with these features? Also is there GPS software that allows you to search with up to 6 characters on the Post Code.
Regards,
Ian

Welcome to our forums.
TomTom3 has the ability to enter co-ordinates e.g. 001degrees 05'08" W, 055degrees12'15" N. You can also get an addon for TomTom from http://www.digitools.co.uk/ukpostcode.php which allows a full postcode search.

Thanks Charlie, the post code info is great and I think it is what I am looking for however I am a little unsure about the co-ordinates. I am looking for something that can define a OS reference by the eastings and northings for example 165:SP938105 based on OS Landranger 1:50 000 map series. The number before the colon indicating the 05 sheet number. The reference following the colon shows the letters identifying the 100000 metre square in which the point lies folowed by the eastings and northings. I woulds really apreciate some help on this. Many thanks.

Not sure that TomTom will handle that format. It only seems to acccept the method I've posted above.
