Exclamation Mio 286

Hi all,

I've just purchased the MIO 286 from www.totalpda.co.uk and, so far, I'm really delighted with it (still playing with the options and still learning too).

The reason for posting here is to know if there's a way of connecting the unit (in some way) to the in-car sound system. There is a "radio-mute" option available but no further explanation is given in the manual.

It's not a serious problem as, for the moment, I'm just turning the radio volume down to listen to the unit!!!

Anyone out there with any knowledge on this???

Thanks,

Raymond

Welcome to our forums.
You can use the 3.5mm headphone socket to output sound to your stereo. You stereo needs to have some sort of line-in.

I understand what you're saying but I feel that this would ONLY allow you to listen to the MIO 268 (and not be able to listen to the radio (or a CD) and then have it muted (interrupted) ONLY when the MIO was "talking"). If you find a way of doing this, please post your reply here as I feel that the MIO 268 is a very good unit!!! Thanks. Raymond
