Combined SatNav / Tracker

Just wondered if anyone had come across a combined unit that does both SatNav and works as a vehicle tracking system?

You would think that a combined unit wouldn't be beyond the realms of possibility, especially as the SatNav units have the GPS technology built in (albeit I assume just a receiver and no transmitter?).

In our situation, a combined SatNav/tracker would be ideal as we cannot really afford to have the vehicles off the road for any length of time for installations of multiple systems to take place.

Any thoughts / comments would be appreciated.

I believe Co-Pilot Live system has a basuc tracking facility that relies on a GPRS connection from a mobile phone to update the position but I have never used it. I think the reason combined tracker/navigation is not mainstream may still be the related costs of a tracking system but that's just my thoughts as it's certainly not because it's impossible.

i used all last week so some freinds could follow where i went it was pertty good actully the office loved it
