Post Heat Reflective Screen

I have a Renault Clio Dynamique.
Does anyone know if this will have a problem with GPS units (heat reflective screens etc)...
How can I tell if a screen is heat reflective?
If I do have one of these screens. will it actually stop the GPS working?

Gavin

It can stop the signal. Usually you can see faint thin wires running through the glass. If in doubt check with your dealer.

I dont think he meant heated charlie
If your screen is heat reflective it will apear purple from the outside on a dull day
If it has you could still be ok as renault usually have a non reflective patch in the middle of the screen some where (either at the top or bottom) to allow for toll tags

yeah it can be hard to see the reflective windscreens at times, the wires in the glass is to demist the windscreen.

If this is any help:-

I drive a 2002 Ford Focus which has a heated front windscreen (wires running through screen) I can place my TomTom Bluetooth Receiver more or less anywhere in the car (even down by the handbrake) and still get a fix.

yeah you can get a fix in strangest places, there is a small shelf under the steering wheel on the focus, you can get a fix leaving it there.
