Does anyone know of any free software to just show speed and distance covered

i have a gps reciever and dell axim x5

Welcome to our forums.
You can use the TomTom GPS program for speed but I don't what you can use for distance. You can get TomTom GPS from the support section over @ www.tomtom.com .
