sat nav on pda, card or internal memory?

just purchased HP iPAQ rz1715 pda

i am new to this pda thing but i purchased this pda as i only wanted basic operation of notes/address's etc and mainly for sat nav in my car.
as the pda has limited internal memory 32mg can i load all the sat nav operating software and the map of say uk on a 512 mg card and it still operate the sat nav as normal therefore not filling up internal memory.

Hello.
Load the operating system program on the pda as normal and load all the maps on the memory card.Most space is taken up by the maps.
