Default Hp4150+Memory Map+Holux GR231 bluetooth

Can anyone help please? I have been using (successfully) my 4150 with TomTom3 and the Holux GR231. I have recently tried to use the 4150 with the Holux 231 with Memory Map 2004 and keep getting a "GPS:COMMUNICATION TIMEOUT" message. I set the settings in Memory Map to NMEA 0183 in the setup and selected the only Bluetooth port available (comm 8) and as yet have been unable to get the two working together! When I set the bluetooth port in TomTom3 I select Comm Port 6 but that is not listed as a bluetooth port in Memory Map. Anyone got any answers please?

Welcome to our forums.
It's probably because the TomTom GPS driver you have installed locks the COM port so no other application can use it.
You will need to download and install TomToms GPS driver v2.07 to overcome this problem.

Thanks for your quick reply. I have been going into the TomTom3 GPS setup and changing the port to serial on Comm 1 instead of bluetooth on comm 6 before trying to use the memory map just in case the two programs were in conflict with eachother fighting for use of the Holux. Would I still have to download and install TomToms GPS driver v2.07? Is this a common problem?

Thanks again. One last one, I'm looking for the driver but not having too much luck at the moment. Do you have a link available to go straight to the driver please? And is the installation of it straight forward? Sorry, that's 2 last ones

You can get it @ http://www.griffinnet.co.uk/downloads.htm .
Remove the TomTom GPS driver from the PDA first then install the older one and all should be fine.
