Default Motor bike / car use GPS?

Hi,
New to this so :-
I am looking for sat nav nav for Hi,
I ve got a compaq H3870 (blue tooth), and am looking for GPS/ sat nav for uk and Europe with post codes+ speed camera, congession charge zones if poss, for car and motorbike use,.
I thought a ear piece inside my crash helmet with the device inside a leathers pocket ? for use on the bike? would this be possible ?

I am considering the TOM TOM , OR Navman sleeve or a bluetooth recieverPOSS NAV 4400? ?

Ccould a Blue tooth devive be either in a pocket or under the bike seat ? please advise, on the best solution(waterproof ) for bike use

Cheers

Exup,
I've recently bought a non BT setup ( Ipaq 3955 & cabled GPS mouse), and have used it both in car and on a bike, and it works fine. The BT mouse will work fine under the seat. I use a headset kit I bought from Maplin for £25 and the sound quality is great!!!

If you get a better intercom setup you can listen to music, and the TT2 setup will override the music.

Hope this Helps

Exup,
I started off with just the headphone/mike setup from Maplin's which costs approx the 25 quid I said. Sound quality was good upto 70 or so. But as I wanted some music as well I upgraded to the intercom system from Maplin's which costs about 80 quid. This gave me a much better sound quality, also I could have other inputs such as an mp3 player.

I use the Ipaq in my tank bag, which means that I can have a quick look if necessary, but I've found the voice instructions good enough so far

The intercom plugs into the headphone socket on the Ipaq, and is straight forwards. One point to note if you use the BT reciever under the seat, is that it maybe necessary to put this into a poly bag!!!

As I'm an electronics tech I've used good quality quick disconnect connectors everywhere.

Any more questions then give me a shout

Neil

Exup,
I've looked up the part numbers for you.
Headset only (designed for use with PMR setup) DS34M £20
Simple intercom (not really suitable) YE23A £30
Bike Communication system (the dogs dangly bits) N77BA £70

The BCS gives you an intercom system that can be interfaced to MP3 Mobile phone PMR PDA etc.

Look on http://www.maplin.co.uk
