Default CF gps cards

Has anybody got experience on using and setting up CF gps cards. I'm thinking about getting a CF sleeve for my Ipaq 3955 and using a CF receiver, to make the unit more portable.

Any help or comments would be greatly appreciated

Quessziryder i dont really recommend these GPS based units unless you are going to use the external antenna. They can be fairly slow to pickup the satellites.

Stevie,
The reason I was looking at these, was for use on a motorbike, where the need for an external antenna would not be as critical. For car use I coud use my existing TT leaded receiver, or use an external antenna as required.

The bike I would be riding is a 1950's classic, so i would use a battery eliminator, with a CF jacket c/w extra battery.

Could you comment

Thanks
Neil

Would a Bluetooth receiver but be better suited for you as the tom tom receiver is magnetic and would stick securely to your bike.

Stevie,

PS

I would probably get the jacket from you anyway. The problem with the 3955 is that it only has an SD slot.

Default Sleeves/ B/tooth

Queeziryder,
Have you considered :-
1 The Emtac sleeve appears to be fgood or a bike, look at the review @ www.pocketgps.co.uk/emtacsleeve.php,
or
2 I was also considering the Fortuna GPS MART (its got B/T but can be wired to pda, + its a GPS on its own with a display, ww.pocketgps.co.uk/gpsmart.php
as u know i want it for car/ bike use too , best £ 130 so far, think i will go for this , could put it under seat if b/t mode or in tank bag wired togther , seems good, also records speed max average + routes
let me know what u think?
