Toshiba E350 GPS Problem

Hi im having trouble connecting my Toshiba E350 PDA upto Holux GM-210 GPS mouse.
After i have installed the drivers, i keep getting the error message cannot open COM1.

COM1 seems to be permimently tied up.
Any ideas on how to fix this
