Default tomtom 5

my medion 150 ran tomtom3 no problems always got a good signal etc, Today I tried to upgrade to tomtom 5 it runs ok but I get no gps available.I've tried the com ports and baud settings etc but no joy. I was wondering if it was tomtoms gps driver thats the issue and if ti would be possable to install the driver off version3?

You can get TT5 working on the Medion 150, however it will not show a signal strength on the status bars on the bottom.
Here's how (bear with me as I don't own one but have set one up and it's working). What you have to do is go into the Medion settings in the System screen (Start >> Settings >> System Tab >> [Medion Settings])
Select the GPS Tab (NOT the Advanced) on the bottom.
Untick the 2nd box down that opens com1 on GPS start (can't remember the exact text. Sorry!)
Now exit out of the Settings.
Turn the GPS OFF on the bottom bar (TT5 will turn it on and off as it loads / exits)

TomTom 5 GPS setup:
Other Cable or NMEA GPS:
Baud Rate: 4800
Com Port: SP2

Note: The GPS will now work, however the sat signal bars will not turn blue to indicate a signal lock, nor will the signal quality meter work.

Regards,
Psi
