Default GPS Newbie, Help needed to choose a system

I am looking to put together a GPS system and need some help. Want it to be based round an IPAQ and here's my thoughts so far :

1. the IPAQ must support a bluetooth headset (want to use it on a motorbike as well as a car so need a headset to listen to instructions) and I believe the only IPAQ that supports headsets is the 5550, please correct me if I'm wrong (and can save money )

2. No idea about GPS receivers. I believe I can't use both a headset and a BT receiver at the same time with the IPAQ so that's a no no. Don't want a wired system, again due to the bike issue. So that leaves me with CF or jacket types (and if I go CF I need a CF jacket for the IPAQ???). Can anyone recommend me a solution here?

3. Software : I am undecided between Kane Car Pilot and Tom Tom Navigator 2, any thoughts?

Thanks in advance

Fi

Fi,
Being in a similar situation to yourself, I have an Ipaq 3955, and am using a CF receiver (got off eBay for 70 quid) a CF expansoin jacket (c/w extra battery). I ended up plugging my setup into my intercom, and it's clear upto 75 mph. The problem you will have when using the setup on a bike is
1/ keeping the ipaq system running for more than 2-3 hrs
this can be overcome by either using a battery extender, or charging off the bike.
2/ keeping the BT receiver dry (try using a re-selable poly bag)
3/ hearing the instructions
Again get the best intercom/headphones you can afford
4/ my personal choice is TotmTom
