Default major gps / tomtom issues

Recently i had a ipaq 3870 working with a bt gps receiver working fine on windows 2002 and activsync 3.78
i thought i would upgrade to ver4 and windows to 2003
that is when my nightmare began
now i cannot get the oramge circle rotating so i asume the gps and ipaq arer not talking to each other
i also keep getting a error message bttracey come up re bluetooth
some points i need to know are on the other bluetooth gps option are you always asked when you select it please pair your gps and pda
please note i have done this
i have gone into the other cable and changed it to 38400 for the bt gps and also tried 4800 no good
what i would really like to do is uninstall 2003 uninstall v4 and put back to how is was before
is this possible
is it possible to erase the ipaq and reinstall again?

i would really apreciate a reply

i nave lots of viewers has knowone ever come across this problem?

You can downgrade your iPAQ but i wouldnt recommend it as it's not that easy from what I've heard. You can also just remove TomTom and reinstall your original version if you still have the CD. I'm curious to know how you got V4 of TomTom for your iPAQ? I thought V4 was a Palm version.
