Default GPS Questions

Considering an IPAQ 2210 plus Tom Tom Bluetooth but got some questions.
  1. How neat and tidy does the whole thing look in the car. i.e how many wires are there going to be trailing across the dashboard?
  2. Are the car mounts substantial and unlikely to fall of their perch / rattle around when you go round the first corner. I'm thinking here of fixing them to the ventilation grill rather than stuck to the window?
  3. Are the voice prompts loud enough or have I got to avoid using the stereo in future?
  4. Is it easy to see the screen when driving?
  5. Is this combination of products a good choice
  6. Is this as reliable / fast as a factory installed GPS
Stupid questions I know but if anyone can give me some unbiased views I'd be grateful

Cable wise you have one power cable going from the car to your car kit, you can then run another cable from the car kit to your receiver to charge the unit.

The car kit for the 2210 is specific to that model and holds the PDA very securely. The voice prompts are loud but would be hard to hear over your stereo as it is the speaker of the IPAQ that plays the sound, however you can get another add-on that would tune it into your cars sound system. It is very easy to see the screen when you are driving as you can place the unit in various different locations of the car.

Stevie

Thanks for your reply.

Couple of other questions

Is the GPS pack rechargeable or does it have to have a constant power supply via the IPAQ.

What are the details of the extra module to link to the stereo. I assume that this is some sort of FM transmitter. Does it cut out the sound of the stereo or just play it over the top of what you're listening to.

Thanks

The Bluetooth receiver is rechargeable, you can have it constantly charging via the cigarette adapter. The link you are looking for is http://www.totalpda.co.uk/product4318_0.aspx
