Changing software

This may seem a stupid question........but I will ask it anyway.

I bought a Tungsten T3 PDA bundled with a Navman 'stick to the window' GPS unit. I live in Northern ireland and ever since I got it, it's been crap outside the main cities. Even main roads aren't shown - I was really ticked off.

My question - Can I obtain different software that can use the hardware so I can benefit from better mapping?

Will one of you geniuses let me know please??
