thanks for your welcome and for the info!
I bought a dell pda and stuff off you last year and am using TT3 with various addons and thought it might be worth going for the tomtom go 700, do you think its worth waiting for the new ones or snapping up a bargain now? i tried the tomtom 5 software on my dell (x30) and thought it was really buggy - locking up and crashing, not what you need when yr lost in central london.
I hope that I can be of some help to the users here as I work for Tracker as a specialist 'vehicle asset managment' technician, so i know a bit about gps....

i think the GO700 is still a good buy and has a lot of features for the money. i would only suggest waiting if you feel you will really need the features of the new models.

TT5 did have some issues when it was intially released but they have been addressed with a few updates that you can download from tomtom.com.

Retailers always hold out until the last minute, so unless any want to 'clear the decks' early, most will not offer any killer deals until the new versions have launched and they need to shift the old stuff.
