Talking Kirrio GPS Car Cradle for HP iPAQ 1710

Hi,can anyone help me with set up for " Kirrio GPS Car Cradle for HP iPAQ 1710 "?I managed to get gps running by changing pda settings,but I cannot get the amplified sound to work! I am running tomtom5 software which I was assured by www.totalpda.co.uk salesperson was compatible,and that I just needed to insert pda and away I go!... any help would be appreciated !

tomtom navigator 5, not got a problem with getting a gps signal for the unit the lit displays ok, it's just getting the software to recognise the receiver I have got.

I don't understand?
You can get a GPS fix but your cant get the receiver recogniesd?

I can get the light to say the receiver is working correctlty but software keeps saying there's not gps signal

Then you need to configure the receiver as OTHER CABLE NMEA, baud 19200 & SERIAL COM1 in TomTom if I remember correctly.

Thanks for posting info, you are correct, mine now works a treat, but sound is very low compared to previous Michellin software and hard to hear when driving.
I have it set at 100% but still too low, any ideas??

Make sure the OS volume is at 100% too. On some devices the 2 can be totally different!
