Default XDA Executive and GPS receivers problem

Hi all,

Very nice to meet you. This is my first post so if this was already mentioned in the forum please direct me to the post.

I have an O2 XDA Executive. I recently got Tom Tom and also got a GPS receiver. In order to connect the GPS reciever to Tom Tom, I need to select specific COM port such as COM1, COM6. But my PDA does not allow that, it instead show an error message. I can select some COM ports but Tom Tom wants specific COM Port

Is there anyone out there who has similar problems, or know the solution.

I was really looking forward to using it, but was heart broken when it didn't work.

PLEASE HELP ME

make sure you updated tomtom to 5.2 from tomtom.com.

The post below covers what you need.
