Unhappy Gps No Signal -hp Ipaq

Hope you can help,

My friend gave me his HP IPAQ 2200 loaded with TOMTOM navigator 5. He wished to keep his blue tooth receiver, I purchased one on the internet
but it wont pick up a signal. they have Emailed me and said -which I didnt know before was choose other cable NMEA and set the baud rate to 9600 which i now did, but the crippler was use com port 8. I am not given this option on my Ipaq I have the choice of COM 3, INFARED PORT,COM6, SERIAL CABLE ON COM1 ,SERIAL CABLE ON BT , SERIAL ONUSB, BLUE TOOTH SERIAL PORT... WHICH IS LISTED TWICE.

I OBVIOUSLY DO NOT HAVE A CLUE WHAT i AM DOING NOR DO ANY OF MY SO CALLED BOFFIN FRIENDS.

I have sent a new E mail to Kaali co.uk- who in there defence despatched the reciever within 24hrs and answered my E mail within a few hours.

I just have a dark and desperate feeling that I will not be able to resolve this and I fear that you may be the only ones left to help me.

Lost in Kent

Kookie
