I have the same problem om my Dell Axim X51v with a cabled GPS receiver.
I select Other NMEA GPS, 4800 baud (which is correct for the GPS I have). Then TomTom asks where the GPS is connected, and I only have the choices:
Native IR:
COM3:
BT UART on COM5:
Se???a?? ?a??d?? st?? COM1:
I've tried all of the above, all resulting in TomTom saying, No GPS.
Out of curuosity, I downloaded a trial version of a program called GPS Tuner.
I started that up, hit auto configure GPS, and BOOM, receiving GPS signal at 4800 baud at COM1 like there was no tomorow!
So to conclude, my guess is that TomTom is not compatible with the GPS receiver. The messed up string on COM1: in TomTom also indicates this.
Hope I'm misstaking, because if not, this gps mouse turns out to be a waste of cash!
You didn't get yours working by any chance?
