Angry problems with tomtom5 on ipaq3850

hi all, i'm new to this so bear with me and please answer in simple language, thanks!

I have bought a hp ipaq3850 with tt5 installed and all maps on the sd card (supposedly), when i first had it tom tom was displayed on the today screen, but after only one check that it was there it has now disappeared and i cannot find it on the pda, if i check the sd card, the maps etc appear to be there but i cannot access them as i dont seem to have the software installed.
( by the way I bought the ipaq off ebay with everything installed so i dont have the disc , ANY IDEAS OUT THERE,( I know you will think im an idiot but im trying to drag myself into the 21st century kicking and screaming.

thank you all!

Welcome to our forums.
Sounds like you've been bought a PDA with an illegal version of TomTom installed.

I'd recommend you contact the ebay seller for assistance i.e. your money back.

Have you tried taking the card out and then re-inserting it, it should either re-install or start tomtom.
