Default Which incar GPS

I am contemplating the purchase of a GPS system for the car with a tour of the continent in mind.

Question 1: Is there a concensus of opinion as to which incar navigator is the best.?

Question 2: Which navigator is the most efficient with regard to giving accurate directiions.

Question 3: Which navigator is the most reliable (wont break down in the middle of a journey).

I'm sure these questions have been asked before but I did a search and couldn't find the answers. (if there is an answer)

Well TomTom is the market leader, so that should speak for it's self.

If you wish to use in europe, and are aiming for an all-in-one setup, then look at the Go 500, 700 and Go 910.

I agree, i have tried most others, and tomtom is the best, but i-go is a very close contender, if they can sort out the point of interest thingy so we can use the speed camera database.

I do like the look of the TomTom 910 I checked one out today in Curry's (£499) but bit too rich for my taste and I don't really need a 20gig hard drive I'm happy with a 1GB SD -
Does anyone know anything about the Blaupunkt TravelPilot Lucca (£199) it seems to do everything a satnav is supposed to do, just wondering if it does it as good as the rest.?
(I have had a Blaupunkt car radio cassette which I updated to a CD/MP3 player version for years in my cars and they are very good and reliable as far as I am concerned) but is the screen as good as the TomTom I wonder.?

Unfortunately they are not the sort of thing you can try in your car before you buy.

Thanx for any responses...
