Polstar roadmentor

I've had a roadmentor which I bought at the end of march / start of april. The update came out about a week later. I've been trying to see if there were any updates and following the manual which lies to you telling you how to update your unit.

So a few days ago I emailed polstar and asked how I downloaded the update they sent a reply back saying it would cost me 140 dollars

for a map update.

The unit only cost me £140 so now if I want an update I need to pay at least another £90 for the updated map

Does anyone else have one of these, heck I wish I'd of bought a tom tom now

All sat-nav vendors charge similar prices for updated maps. Most users wait for an upgrade program, where the newer software is offered at a lower price than buying new maps/software.
