Default What GPS? Europe, not fixed

I would like to by a GPS but the more I read about them, the more confused I get. I wonder if someone could answer some questions for me:

1 Do I need to fix the GPS to the windscreen when used in the car? I really wouldn't want to have a permanent mount in the car.

2 What are the best GPS with full cover of Western Europe, voice instructions and touch screen, and can be used in or out of the car?

3 What other features am I likely to need? (e.g. sfety camera data, traffic information, parking and petrol, etc.)

4. What do you think of the Cartrek 400?

I would really appreciate your help.

Thank you.

  1. No all the systems we sell come with a suction mount as they are designed to be transferable from car to car.
  2. I would look at the tomtom go 710 and 910
  3. You get safety cameras with the two tomtoms I mentioned and parking and petrol POI's also come as standard. Traffic you would have to subscribe and it personal preference whether you need too or not.
  4. We dont sell it so I cant comment.
